Cuba is a country that is quite unique, heavily influenced by the Spanish. In Havana you will find 1950s cars taking tourists for a spin but head out of the city and a horse and cart is the more common mode of transport. Havana is a heady mix of crumbling buildings that play homage to a once affluent past but despite this it retains a charm that few cities can rival. Head west and explore the tobacco growing area of Vinales, where much of the prized Cuban cigars are produced. Explore rural towns of Trinidad and Cienfuegos for a real look into history and of course enjoy the stunning white sandy beaches that keep visitors flocking to Cuba.
